EUGENE, Ore. -- After pushing back the start of the school year to Sept. 21 due to wildfire smoke concerns, Eugene School District 4J has rescheduled their technology distribution days.

4J officials said the Holiday Farm Fire has had a significant impact on district staff, students and family.

The school calendar has been adjusted to make up some school days and balance the trimesters, officials said. Two school days will be restored in February and March. Winter break, spring break, and the end of the school year have not changed. The last day of school is still June 17.

The potential date for the start of hybrid learning is now Jan. 5.
