Search and rescue begins in Holiday Farm fire

At least 50 people are considered missing connected to the wildfire.

LANE COUNTY, Ore. -- Search and rescue personnel have entered the Holiday Farm fire, officials said Saturday morning.

About 80 search and rescue personnel, many from outside Lane County, are searching for survivors and casualties today.

The Lane County Sheriff's office reports at least 50 people are listed as missing in connection with the Holiday Farm Fire.

Sgt. Carrie Carver told KEZI 9 News they are getting new reports constantly.

Officials reported the Holiday Farm Fire expanded to 161,872 acres as of Saturday morning, encompassing a nearly 190-mile fire perimeter.

No progress has been made on containment, which remains at 0%.
