Eugene Police hold virtual Safety Town

Children can meet and learn from Sluggo from the Eugene Emeralds.

EUGENE, Ore. -- Eugene Police are again holding Safety Town virtually due to the pandemic.

The goal of the experience is to teach kids the importance of safety. This year, families can go online to participate.

The virtual environment includes videos and online materials connected to topics such as animal safety, bicycle safety, fire safety, and poison safety.

Sluggo from the Eugene Emeralds will help teach children the importance of pedestrian and vehicle safety.
