SPRINGFIELD, Ore. -- A 6-year-old girl was reported missing out of Springfield on Monday night. She was found a few hours later.
Springfield Police said Meila Humphrey was found just after midnight on Tuesday. She was reported missing at 10:30 p.m. on Monday after she was last seen earlier that morning in the 100 block of S. 41st Street.
April McDonald, the mother of Meila, allowed her child to go with her friend, Nicole Edbloom, to walk across the street to return some cans and bottles, police said. Neither Edbloom nor Meila had been seen for more than 12 hours.
Springfield Police did not give any information as to where she was found or what happened.
