911 outage affecting parts of southern Douglas County

Telephone service outage affecting 911 service in parts of southern Douglas County.

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. -- The Douglas County 911 center has been notified of a telephone service outage affecting 911 service in the Glendale and Azalea areas.

People in the affected areas may not able to dial 911 from their land line telephone. They will be able to reach 911 on a cellular phone if necessary.

Residents needing to report an emergency may also go to the Azalea Fire Station located at 495 Azalea-Glen Rd, Glendale Fire Station located at 218 Windy Creek Rd, or the Glendale Ambulance Station located at 416 Tunnel Road to report an emergency.

It is unknown at this time how long the outage is expected to last.
