Child sought in possible abduction found safe

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. -- A child reported missing in California was found safe near Rainbow on Monday, the Lane County Sheriff's Office said .

LCSO received reports on Monday that a vehicle sought in connection with the missing child had been seen in the Rainbow area. A deputy responded to the area and the child was found safe.

Emalee Perry, 7, was allegedly abducted from a home in Red Bluff, California, by her biological mother, according to Red Bluff Police. Perry's mother does not have parental rights.

Suspect Amina Clark was believed to be in a red 2000 Ford Mustang convertible with a black stripe on the hood with Oregon license plate ZZH587. Clark's wife Kathy Knupp was likely with her, police said.

Police suspected Clark was headed to the area of Rainbow or Springfield.
