COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. -- Hundreds of people have regained power in the Cottage Grove area after an outage Wednesday afternoon, according to a Tweet from the Emerald People's Utility District.

Power was back on for affected Cottage Grove and Lorane residents by about 1:30 p.m., EPUD said.

Around noon about 1,400 were without power, and less than 30 minutes later, half had regained power, according to EPUD.

During the outage, EPUD said that customers may be unable to reach them by phone due to issues with their phone service. Customers can log into SmartHub at epud.org or use the SmartHub app to report outages, they said.

At this time, the cause of the outage is unknown.
