Albany police search for speeding motorcyclist

Police say the motorcyclist was spotted around 4 p.m. on Sunday driving through Albany at 120 mph.

ALBANY, Ore. -- Albany police asked for help from the public to identify a motorcylist seen riding in Albany at high rates of speed Sunday afternoon.

Police said the motorcyclist was spotted around 4 p.m. on a blue and white 1996 to 2003 Yamaha R6 motorcycle. 

According to police, the motorcyclist eluded police officers and endangered the public as the rider drove over 120 mph. Police said they were unable to make out the license plate on video, but they released a picture and are asking for help identifying the rider and/or exact motorcycle.

The adult male rider is of average height and weight with no visible scars, marks or tattoos. If you have information, please contact Officer Eric Tress at
