ALBANY, Ore. – Greater Albany Public Schools Superintendent Melissa Goff announced that school buildings would be disinfected this weekend after a stomach virus spread and made numerous students, teachers, and staff members sick.

In a Facebook post, Goff said the schools should be open Monday.

As a reminder, Goff urged community members to frequently wash their hands and clean surfaces that are prone to germs.

To prevent the spread, she said if a child is sick, they should stay home until they are symptom-free.
