FLORENCE, Ore. --According to Florence Police, an armed standoff ended Thursday morning at a trailer home park near Heceta Beach, north of Florence. Oregon State Police is leading this investigation. KEZI 9 News has reached out to OSP for further information but have not heard back yet.

Stormi Zice, who lives in the Rhododendron Trailer Park off of Highway 101, said the incident began when her neighbor came home drunk and began arguing with the female manager of the park. Zice said the neighbor, whom she described as "an older man," pushed the manager.

Police were called to the park, but by then, according to Zice, the man had retreated to his trailer and refused to come out. Several nearby homes were evacuated, Zice said.

Zice tells KEZI 9 News that the man has appeared in the doorway several times, taunting the police with racial slurs and showing a gun.

This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
