EUGENE, Ore. – A bar fight led to gunshots early Sunday morning in downtown Eugene, according to witnesses at the scene.
Police said it started at a bar on West Broadway and escalated to a shooting at West 8th Avenue and Willamette Street.
Officers responded to the scene just before 2 a.m. Police said they found a car with multiple bullet holes in it and learned that multiple men were involved in a fight with Wyatt Galloway III, 22, of Eugene.
Security at the bar had tried to break up the fight, and Galloway was reportedly the victim of the assault, police said.
He left the area with a woman who was also a victim in the incident, but police later located and arrested him in connection with an unrelated incident last year. Galloway faces charges of unlawful use of a weapon, menacing and fourth-degree assault.
Police said Galloway refused to help officers in Sunday’s incident and there are no suspects at this time. If you have any information, contact detectives at 541-682-5192.
