EUEGNE, Ore. – The Bethel School District has named its next superintendent.
The school board selected Kraig Sproles, who is currently assistant superintendent for Salem-Keizer Public Schools.
On April 19, the board will hold a special board meeting to make the selection official.
District officials said Sproles is an “equity-focused instructional leader” and a “tireless advocate for children."
Sproles started his career teaching Native American students in Oklahoma and has 24 years of experience in public education.
On July 1, Sproles will take over as the eighth Bethel superintendent, replacing Chris Parra who announced her retirement the past November.
