EUGENE, Ore. -- The 80th annual Oregon Logging Conference kicked off in Eugene on Feb.22. Its the largest indoor, outdoor logging equipment show west of the Mississippi.
The three day event features lots of opportunities for forestry professionals to network and learn more about the trade. There will be seminars, hands-on workshops and panel discussions all about the logging industry.
Ponsse, was one of the companies to feature equipment. They showcased a training simulator. The simulator is like a video game, but it allows people to train in a safe and controlled enviroment.
The company said they'd like to someday create a virtual reality training simulator.
The OLC runs from Feb. 22 to Feb. 24.
