EUGENE, Ore. – Bloodworks Northwest is seeking donations, and pop-up centers are making it easy to help.
The group said 60% of the community’s blood supply is at risk since the closure of schools and businesses.
They need blood as they tackle a significant backlog of surgeries, medical treatments and procedures that require transfusions.
You can donate on Friday and Saturday at the EMU on the University of Oregon campus.
If you would like to participate, you do need to make an appointment. The hours will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. A total of 40 slots are available and all slots need to be filled in order to meet the need of local hospitals.
