Body found in Umpqua River

There are no signs of foul play, investigators say.

ROSEBURG, Ore. – Roseburg police have recovered a body from the Umpqua River.

Someone reported seeing a body in the river in the area of Gaddis Park on Monday. Officers responded to the area and located the body.

Police said they have identified the body as a 37-year-old Glendale woman. Officers contacted her family, who told police they had not seen or heard from her in four to six weeks. The family added she had some health issues and was living a transient lifestyle.

Investigators said they have found no signs of foul play.
