CORVALLIS, Ore. -- The body of a Brownsville woman who went missing earlier this month has been found in the Willamette River, the Benton County Sheriff's Office said.

Suzanne Durheim, 65, was reported missing Jan. 7 after she didn’t show up for work at Samaritan Health Plans in Corvallis.

Officials said Durheim's body was found around 2:17 p.m. on Jan. 15 in heavy brush on the east bank of the river, about one mile downriver from the original crash site.

When Durheim's family and the county began the search for her Jan. 7, they found tracks that went off the road near milepost 1 of Highway 20 near Hewlett-Packard. The crash site indicated that a truck similar in color to Durheim's had driven off the road into the river.

Authorities pulled Durheim's red 2003 F-150 Ford pickup out of the river Jan. 9, but no body was found inside the vehicle.

The search continued until Jan. 11, when it was suspended temporarily. The county resumed their search Jan. 14.

Durheim's family have been notified.

The Benton County Sheriff's Office worked with the Linn County Sheriff's Office during the investigation.
