Body pulled from Willamette River, police say

The body of a man in his late 50s was pulled from the Willamette River in Eugene Friday afternoon, according to officials.

EUGENE, Ore. --- The body of a man in his late 50s was pulled from the Willamette River in Eugene Friday afternoon, according to officials. 

Eugene Police said the deceased man was found in the river near Skinner's Butte Park along the South Bank Bike Path around 2 p.m.

EPD was assisted by the Eugene Springfield Fire Department.

The Lane County Medical Examiner responded and took jurisdiction of the case.

No other information was released about the victim.
