HARRISBURG, Ore. -- Investigators said a bomb threat made to a Linn County middle school Monday morning was a hoax.

The Linn County Sheriff's Office was called out to Harrisburg Middle School after a threatening note was found inside the school. Officials said the note threatened to "blow it up at 11 a.m."

Students at the middle and elementary school were evacuated to the high school as officials investigated. Parents were notified of the threat and some chose to pick their child up.

Oregon State Police was called into assist.

Detectives did not find any validity to the threat. Therefore, it was deemed a hoax.

Students who did not get picked up by a parent were sent back to class.
