Bootleg Fire 100 percent contained, officials say

The Bootleg fire burned across 413,000 acres for 39 days.

KLAMATH COUNTY, Ore.--- The United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service announced Sunday that the Bootleg fire is 100% contained as of Sunday morning.

The Bootleg fire burned across 413,000 acres for 39 days. It was expected to burn until October.

It is believed lightning caused the wildfire.

In a Facebook post, USDA Forest Service said, "Huge thanks to our dedicated & incredibly skilled fire personnel for this great accomplishment."
