CANYONVILLE, Ore. -- The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is advising residents of Canyonville to boil their drinking water due to above standard turbidity levels.
Residents connected to the City of Canyonville water system should boil their drinking water until further notice. The announcement was made following a routine water sample taken on Feb. 18.
Officials said it could mean it isn't being filtered properly.
Staff at the treatment plant hope to have the problem resolved soon, and city staff will inform the public when they no longer need to boil their water.
Canyonville residents should boil their tap water for at least one minute before using it.
