EUGENE, Ore.-- A multi-vehicle crash on Chambers Street in Eugene sent five people to a local hospital, one with potentially serious injuries.

This all happened shortly after 8 p.m. Thursday. The Eugene Police Department said three cars were involved and everyone inside was treated and transported for their injuries.

Wiley Rhoades lives on Chambers Street, and two of the cars landed in the grass next his house. He said he heard a loud crash and his whole house shook.

“My mom was telling me to get my phone to call 911,” Rhoades said. ”I really didn’t know what happened when I felt the shake. I went out front to see what happened and it was a car crash. It was scary for me.”

Eugene Police are still investigating what caused the crash. But for now, nerves are still rattled on Chambers Street.

“I didn’t really think this would happen tonight,” Rhoades said.
