EUGENE, Ore. -- A car caught fire Monday morning as driver Sheldon Perry was making his way to work at Lithia Dodge in Eugene.
Perry told KEZI 9 News that everything seemed fine when he left his home, and then just after 6 a.m. as he was driving to work, his car stalled.
He said he pushed the car to Centennial Loop to get it out of the intersection, and the car began to smoke, eventually catching fire.
Perry said when he saw the smoke, he knew he had to get out of the way.
He plans to let the car insurance settle the damages.
