ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The owner of Casey's Restaurant in Roseburg said they have plans to fight a citation for violating the governor's executive order.
The Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Administration fined the restaurant $14,000 for "willfully" going against the governor's directives.
The owner said that they have hired an attorney to take OSHA to court.
Leah Andrews, a spokesperson for OSHA, said the agency has not taken any actions beyond the citation.
"Our charge is really to keep workers safe in their workplaces," Andrews said. "We need to make sure rules are regulations are being followed.”
Gilberto's Mexican Restaurant in Roseburg also opened their doors before the state approved phase one in the county, but they have not been fined.
