BROWNSVILLE, Ore. -- The Linn County community is reacting to a tragic car crash that claimed the lives of two siblings.
Caleb Simonis, 19, and Shelby Simonis, 16, were killed in the crash. Their 15-year-old sister, Kylee, is recovering from the crash at RiverBend Hospital in Springfield.

The three were driving home to Sweet Home after taking their injured dog to their mother's Veterinary Clinic in Brownsville when they were hit.

Future Farmers of America at Central Linn High School made a memorial in their honor. All day people stopped by to lay flowers and pay their respects.
"On the back of it says stay strong and that’s all we can do, just continue with our lives and just stay strong," said Sue Frasier, School to Life Advisor at the school. "Make everything better because that’s what Caleb and Shelby would have wanted."

The family told KEZI that they want this memorial at the high school to be the place where their children can be remembered. Principal Heidi Hermansen said when tragedies like this happen at a small high school, it has a larger impact.
"It’s a larger impact on a smaller school like ours because the kids know each other so well, it’s even a harder hit to them," Hermansen said.
There is a GoFundMe for the Simonis family and at last check, over $43,000 has been raised.
