EUGENE, Ore. – Construction activity is growing, and perhaps the only thing that can slow it is a lack of skilled workers.
From drivers to equipment operators and technicians, multiple construction companies in our area are hiring. Knife River, Chambers and Riverbend Materials are just a few that are.
Riverbend Materials is looking for new employees and a four-year degree is not necessary. They provide raw materials for construction like concrete and asphalt mix. Many of their positions, including their administrative ones, do not require a college education.
The company has eight different excavation sites across western Oregon.
Chambers and Knife river also have offices in multiple locations around the state.
As part of our Skilled to Work initiative, we partner with employers in our area to address the lack of workers for skilled jobs.
