Coos Bay man dies in crash on Highway 101

Donald Games was driving a commercial motor vehicle.

COOS COUNTY, Ore. – A Coos Bay man is dead after a single-vehicle crash on Highway 101 Thursday night.

Oregon State Police said troopers and emergency personnel responded to milepost 252 at about 6:15 p.m.

Investigators said Donald Games, 53, was headed south when his commercial motor vehicle failed to negotiate a curve and left the roadway, hitting a tree.

The vehicle caught fire. Crews from the Millington and Green Acres fire departments responded and put out the flames.

Games sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead.

Bay Cities Ambulance and the Oregon Department of Transportation also assisted OSP.
