OHA: 58 new coronavirus cases; 3 new deaths

OHA announced the latest round of cases at about noon Monday.

SALEM, Ore. -- On Monday, the Oregon Health Authority announced three new deaths linked to coronavirus and 58 new cases.

Four of the new cases are in Douglas County, two are in Lane County, and one is in Benton County.

One of the deaths was a 91-year-old veteran at the veterans' home in Lebanon. He tested positive March 15 and died on Sunday.

The other new deaths include a 91-year-old Yamhill County man who tested positive March 20 and died Sunday at Providence Newberg Medical Center and an 80-year-old Clackamas County man who tested positive March 22 and died Sunday at Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center. 

OHA said they all had underlying medical conditions.

The other new cases were in Clackamas, Deschutes, Jackson, Josephine, Marion, Multnomah, Polk, Tillamook, Wasco, Washington and Yamhill counties.

So far, a total of 16 have died and there have been a total of 606 cases.
