Coronavirus in Oregon: 57 new cases; one more death

SALEM, Ore. – Oregon’s total of coronavirus cases is nearing 1,600, Oregon Health Authority said.

On Monday, OHA announced 57 new cases for a total of 1,584, as well as one more death. The death toll is now 53.

The new cases include seven in Clackamas, two in Columbia, two in Douglas, one in Jackson, one in Josephine, four in Lane, four in Marion, 24 in Multnomah, and 12 in Washington.

OHA said a 66-year-old Washington County resident tested positive March 30 and died April 12 at Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center. She had underlying health conditions.
