Coronavirus in Oregon: Three new deaths; 18 new cases

So far, eight people have died.

SALEM, Ore. -- Three more people have died in Oregon due to novel coronavirus.

So far, eight people have died.

The Oregon Health Authority said the latest deaths include the following:

  • A 78-year-old Clackamas County man tested positive on March 15. He died March 22 at Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center. OHA said he had underlying health conditions.
  • A 63-year-old Multnomah County man died March 23 after testing positive on March 16. OHA said he had underlying health conditions and was not hospitalized at the time of his death.
  • A 90-year-old Washington County woman tested positive March 19 and died March 23 at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. OHA said she also had underlying health conditions.

On Tuesday, 18 new cases were also announced, bringing the state total to 209. The new cases include seven in Washington County, four in Multnomah county, three in Clackamas County, two in Marion County and one each in Clatsop and Jackson counties.
