Police seek witnesses in attempted assault at Dutch Bros

A Corvallis police officer broke an ankle after fighting off a man that tried to assault a Dutch Bros employee.

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Police are asking witnesses of an attempted assault incident to come forward.

A man is accused of trying to assault a Dutch Bros employee at 4th and Harrison and of fighting with officers.

One officer broke his ankle during the incident, and the suspect is in jail.

Corvallis Police said the incident involved Eduardo Benitez-Garcia, 28, and happened on May 22.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to call Officer David Vidal at 541-766-6924.
