COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. -- South Lane County fire crews responded to a house fire on Clark Avenue in Cottage Grove Friday morning.
Fire crews said when they arrived around 5:20 a.m., flames could be seen coming from the garage. They worked to put out the fire, and it was contained 12 minutes later.

At about 6:30 a.m., fire crews were seen cleaning up fire debris in the garage of the home. The garage appeared to have been blackened by the fire. A piece of the roof appeared to be missing and the garage door was visibly damaged.
Fire crews confirmed that there were two adults, two children and two pets in the home. The adults and children all made it out safely, but two turtles were missing.
The fire is under investigation.
