Crash near Leaburg backs up traffic on Highway 126

A crash on Highway 126 near Leaburg Sunday afternoon is causing significant traffic backups.

LEABURG, Ore. --- A crash on Highway 126 near Leaburg Sunday afternoon is causing significant traffic backups.

According to Oregon State Police, two people have been sent to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash on McKenzie Highway at milepost 19 just after 1:00 p.m.

Officials told KEZI 9 News the cars are being towed and the highway should be cleared soon.

As of 3:30 p.m., the Oregon Department of Transportation was reporting delays on the road, with the westbound lane, shoulder and median affected.

Drivers told KEZI 9 News that they were in bumper to bumper traffic as they headed eastbound on the road.
