EUGENE, Ore. – Two students were hit during a vehicle crash Friday morning near South Eugene High School, police say.
It happened just before 11 a.m., and it closed down 19th Avenue between Mill and Patterson streets. Drivers were asked to avoid the area.
Police said a sedan headed west on East 19th Avenue was turning into the parking lot when it crashed into a pickup truck headed east. During this collision, two pedestrians were hit and taken to the hospital. However, police added their injuries were not life threatening.
Both vehicles were damaged and towed from the scene.
All of the individuals involved were students, police said.
The road reopened by about 4 p.m.
