Creswell man arrested in stabbing

The Lane County Sheriff's Office said they received a call around 5:15 p.m. of a man who was allegedly stabbed. The victim was taken to a local hospital for his injuries.

CRESWELL, Ore. -- A Creswell man is in custody for allegedly stabbing someone multiple times Monday afternoon in the 31500 block of Lynx Hollow Road, officials said.

The Lane County Sheriff's Office said they received a call around 5:15 p.m. reporting that a man was stabbed. The victim was taken to a local hospital for his injuries.

Suspect Jamie Oldfield, 42, was arrested a short time later on 5th Street in Creswell after he fled the scene, authorities said. 

He was taken to Lane County Jail and booked on first-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon charges. 

There is no word on the victim's condition or the seriousness of his injuries.
