LEBANON, Ore. -- The Lebanon Fire District has a warning for residents after battling a grass fire Wednesday afternoon.
Officials say they responded to a small grass fire in the Lacomb area off of Ede Road. When officials arrived, the first engine company from Lebanon's Lacomb sub-station reported a two-acre fire that was being pushed by heavy winds. The engine then requested a second alarm assignment to help control the blaze.
Crews were able to get the fire under control in about 20 minutes.
They want to remind residents that even though the grass and brush are green, with the current heat and winds, they will dry out and burn quickly.
