ROSEBURG, Ore. --- A house caught on fire near Roseburg Saturday afternoon.
Around 4:00 p.m., firefighters with Douglas County Fire District No. 2 responded to 440 Shakemill Road for a report of a house on fire.
When crews arrived on scene they found a double-wide manufactured home with fire and smoke showing.
All occupants had escaped prior to the firefighter’s arrival. The initial crews quickly extinguished the fire that had started to spread to the attic of home.
Officials said the fire appeared to have started on the front porch near a small table.
The Fire District responded to the incident with 14 firefighters including three fire engines, a water tender, an ambulance, and a command vehicle.
One resident was treated on scene for minor smoke inhalation.
