Crews fight house fire near Roseburg

Everyone got out safely.

ROSEBURG, Ore. – Crews fought a house fire near Roseburg Monday evening.

At about 5:15 p.m., firefighters with Douglas County Fire District No. 2 responded to the 10000 block of Garden Valley Road.

They found the porch on fire, and it was spreading to the wall of the house.

All six occupants escaped to safety prior to the firefighters’ arrival.

The initial crew quickly put the fire out, and an additional crew checked the structure.

Investigators said the cause of the fire was likely accidental.

The fire district responded with three fire engines, a water tender, an ambulance and a command vehicle.
