JUNCTION CITY, Ore. --- The Oregon Department of Human Services announced Thursday evening, new conditions on the license for Junction City Retirement and Assisted Living.
DHS said the new conditions follow the facility's emergency evacuation Tuesday as well as a long history of reported elder abuse. Here are the new restriction on their license:
- Restricts any new admissions
- Requires their management to enlist an administrative/RN consultant to advise the facility and the consultant must provide a report every two weeks
- Mandates abuse reporting training
- Requires a medication and pharmacy audit
These new conditions only apply to the assisted living portion of the facility. The retirement community on the same property is not regulated by the state.
DHS also said 18 residents were evacuated to Lone Oak Assisted Living in Eugene while the other 30 went home with family members.
