ROSEBURG, Ore. – A man involved in a crash in Roseburg has died, police said.
John Hillebrand, 38, of Dallas, Oregon, was riding a motorcycle south on NW Edenbower Boulevard Saturday afternoon when he collided with a Honda CRV that was turning onto the boulevard from Broad Street.
Police said Hillebrand got trapped under the Honda and was extricated by the Roseburg Fire Department. He was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and was then taken to Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland.
On Sunday, the man’s family told officers Hillebrand had died due to his injuries.
The driver of the Honda, Patsy Stewart, 68, of Roseburg, was not injured and is cooperating with the investigation. Impairment did not play a role in the crash, police said.
Investigators reconstructed the scene with help from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
