“I was just stunned. I couldn't believe all this. There's been some commotion going on before but nothing like this,” said guest Gina Brewer.

Brewer said she has been staying at the Days Inn Hotel in Corvallis for over a year, but has never seen an incident like this.

“My dog started barking at 3:30 a.m. That’s when I woke up and stared out my window and saw police lights,” said Anita Saucedo, another guest at Days Inn Hotel. “The people that were coming down from the third story said they heard a gunshot. I don’t know why I didn’t hear a gunshot.”

The owner at Elmer’s in the same plaza as the Days Inn Hotel said he had to close his business early on Saturday, due to the incident.
