Deer cause four-vehicle crash on I-5 southbound near Eugene

The two deer died after being hit by multiple cars.

EUGENE, Ore. -- A four-vehicle crash southbound on Interstate 5 Tuesday morning was caused by two deer in the roadway, Oregon State Police said.

OSP responded to the collision north of exit 189 around 10 a.m. The two deer died after being hit by multiple cars.

No people were injured in the crash, and traffic was reopened to two lanes at about 10:45 a.m.
