Garza told deputies Terrell took out his phone and started recording a video before shooting him.

He was taken to the hospital and has since been released.

Deputies said Terrell’s girlfriend told them Terrell confessed to shooting Garza. They said she was “recently connected” to Garza at the address where the shooting happened.

Charges were filed against Terrell the day after the shooting, but he wasn’t arrested until Monday in Portland.

Terrell will be back in court on Feb. 21 for a probable cause preliminary hearing.
