CRESWELL, Ore. -- Early Thursday morning, South Lane Fire crews responded to a field fire burning in a ditch in the 81000 block of Davisson Road, close to Interstate 5.

Fire crews were dispatched around 2:30 a.m.

The fire burned a small patch and firefighters put it out within 10 minutes.

Neighbors said they were alerted about the fire by a woman wearing a pink tutu, who they said knocked on their doors. South Lane Fire officials confirmed that there was a woman matching that description on-site.

Investigators said they planned to interview her as they look into what sparked the fire.
