ROSEBURG, Ore. – Parks are opening back up in Douglas County.
The board of commissioners announced Wednesday that starting May 1, county-operated parks and RV parks will be open to the public on a limited basis.
Residents are still encouraged to stay home as often as possible.
“However, we do understand the role our outdoor recreational sites provide in keeping our residents mentally and physically healthy,” county officials said in a statement.
People must maintain social distancing, and if restrictions are not followed, facilities could be closed again, officials warned.
