ROSEBURG, Ore. – After many days of no positive tests in Douglas County, that streak has been broken.

Health officials announced one new case of coronavirus in the county on Thursday.

This brings the total number of positive cases in the county to 26. Of those, 23 have recovered.

Officials said their case numbers have held fairly steady for several weeks, but they expected to see new cases in the county.

The county is conducting regular testing and preparing for a possible surge.
