EUGENE, Ore. -- Autzen Stadium was booming Saturday morning with thousands of runners for the Duck Dash and the Eugene 5K.
Runners from all over the country ran through the iconic tunnel at Autzen Stadium to the 50 yard line to finish the race as friends and family cheered them on.
"I've been to a few football games here and it always get packed so it's kind of surreal to be able to finish in this stadium and understand the ambiance the football players go through every home game," said Damacio Lopez, a runner from California.
The Duck Dash happened at 8 a.m. for kids ages four to 12. The race started on the East side of the stadium, where children entered through the tunnel where players such as Justin Herbert and Marcus Mariota have entered before.
The Eugene 5K was after the Duck Dash at 8:30 a.m.
"I was really surprised because when you run through the tunnel, it was kinda of emotional and it was a nice finish," said Molly Krantz, a runner from Beaverton.
