EPD promotes free car seat clinic

Kohl’s Car Seat Clinics Program offers monthly car seat clinic which are held on the last Thursday every month.

EUGENE, Ore -- Eugene Police Department is encouraging parents and guardians to take advantage of free monthly car seat clinics.

Kohl’s Car Seat Clinics Program is funded by a grant from Kohl's Cares.  The grant provides funds for car seats that are distributed to families at monthly car seat clinic which are held on the last Thursday every month, except November and December which change depending on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

At clinics, car seats are inspected and installed by certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians.

The next car seat clinic is Thursday, Feb. 22 at Eugene-Springfield Fire Station No. 2 located at 1705 W. 2nd Avenue in Eugene.  Car seat clinics are open to the public from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and function on a first come first served business.  Appointments can be made in advance at (541) 682-5761.
