Early morning fire under investigation

Officials said a neighbor called in around 2 a.m. after seeing flames shooting up past the home's roof.

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. -- Investigators are trying to determine what caused a shed to go up in flames in a Springfield back yard early Tuesday morning.

Officials said a neighbor called in around 2 a.m. after seeing flames shooting up past the roof of the house at 240 South 37th St. They said the residents inside were unaware that their shed was fully engulfed in flames. 

Crews were able to contain the fire to the shed within 10 minutes and no injuries were reported. The cause is unknown.
