ROSEBURG, Ore. – A California man was arrested Sunday in Douglas County in connection with a large-scale drug investigation.

The Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team had been investigating Wesley Gutierrez, 34, who is from Harbor City. He had been traveling to Roseburg in recent weeks, they said.

At about 11 p.m., detectives contacted him in the 300 block of West Harvard Avenue and conducted a search warrant. They reportedly found a large amount of methamphetamine -- more than eight pounds.

Gutierrez was taken to the Douglas County Jail. He faces charges of unlawful possession and delivery of meth.

The investigation is ongoing.
