Elderly woman reported missing south of Eugene

Teams from Lane County Search and Rescue and Lane Fire Authority were out searching for her and did not find her.

LANE COUNTY, Ore. -- An elderly woman who suffers from severe dementia has been reported missing by the Lane County Sheriff’s Office after she was last seen Wednesday afternoon in an area south of Eugene.

Deputies said Lori Smolenska is in her 70s and she was last seen early Wednesday afternoon on Harry Taylor Road walking towards Fox Hollow Road.

Smolenska is described as 5 feet 2 inches tall, with gray hair and a Scottish accent.

Teams from Lane County Search and Rescue and Lane Fire Authority searched for Smolenska Wednesday and did not find her.
